The Truth: I never intended to create a skincare brand.

For nearly two decades working as a celebrity and editorial makeup artist, I learned one thing quickly. Every great look begins with healthy, balanced skin. But finding products that consistently delivered that foundation was harder than it should have been.

I grew up on my great-grandparents’ farm in rural Oklahoma, surrounded by nature and a slower, more intentional way of living. That upbringing shaped how I think about beauty. The most effective solutions are often simple, well made, and rooted in respect for the source. Still, by 2014, something felt missing.

I couldn’t find gender-inclusive, high-performance products that met my standards as an artist. So I began formulating my own. At first, they lived only in my makeup kit. Then I started seeing real changes in my clients’ skin. Better texture. More balance. Skin that wore makeup beautifully and held up off camera too.

What began as a practical solution evolved into something more intentional.

Leland Francis grew from those early formulas into a focused skincare and fragrance house built around restraint, performance, and thoughtful sourcing. Each product is composed with care, using botanicals and essential oils chosen for how they feel, wear, and support the skin over time.

Leland Francis is not about excess or complication. It is about essentials that work. Products designed for all skin types, tones, ages, and genders, because results should feel intuitive, not overwhelming.
